METH AND FAMILIES
ALL-DAY WORKSHOP
The Meth and Families All-Day Workshop is an educational
opportunity for families, caregivers and professionals
impacted by meth. The workshop includes a screening of
the locally produced documentary, "Mother
Superior," and a discussion on meth's effect on the
brain and recovery as well as the effect on children's
behavior. Experts will be available to answer audience
questions and the workshop ends with stories of hope
provided by people in recovery and their loved
ones.

A JOURNEY THROUGH UTAH’S
CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM
Utah Department of Human Services developed the “Immersion”
workshop as an opportunity for professionals to more
fully understand the practice, operations,
decision-making and responsibilities of the Division of
Child and Family Services (DCFS).

MULTIDISCIPLINARY
RESPONSE TO DRUG ENDANGERED CHILDREN 101
Training includes topics to assist multidisciplinary
groups in organizing a drug endangered children (DEC)
effort in their community. The training covers best
practice guidelines currently being used in urban and
rural communities as well as the state and federal
resources. An introduction to the National Alliance for
Drug Endangered Children and current research efforts
will be discussed.
